Hosted by Simpson University in Redding California and servicing student participants at Anderson Union High School in Anderson California, the Upward Bound program at Anderson High School provides academic support and college/career readiness services to first generation and low income students. Upward Bound Provides student participants with fundamental support for college entrance and career planning. The program provides cash incentives to students to maintain good grades by offering a monthly stipend award for maintaining passing grades, staying on track towards A-G course completion and participating in essential college preparatory program activities. Each year Upward Bound prepares students for college by providing college campus field trips, college going experiences and academic instruction.
